About
Miss Door County began in 1997 as an opportunity for young women to earn scholarships and become involved in the community. Since its inception, the program has grown to include the Princess Program in 2010 and Miss Door County's Teen in 2011. This Miss Door County Program offers young women from around the county the opportunity to grow confidence, build relationships, and network with the community, while donating thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to contestants. The Miss Door County Program has consistently been one of the top scholarship pageants in the state, having given over $250,000 in scholarships over the last 25 years.
Miss Door County and Miss Door County's Teen represent women through her dress, mannerisms, and behavior. She is a young professional and an ambassador who is knowledgeable about Door County, its people, and nearby communities. She is a public servant; she serves as a sincere, committed advocate for the social impact initiative of her choice, implementing it throughout Door County. She also has the opportunity to compete at the state level at Miss Wisconsin & Miss Wisconsin's Outstanding Teen in Oshkosh, WI in June.
